Amols’ Party & Fiesta Supplies, a family-owned retailer in San Antonio, needed a reliable way to keep inventory, pricing, and orders aligned between their Retail Management Hero (RMH) point-of-sale system and their BigCommerce ecommerce store. Without an automated connection between the two systems, maintaining accurate inventory and processing online orders required time-consuming manual work.

A Brief History of Amols’
Amols’ Party & Fiesta Supplies was founded in 1949 by Julian Amols in San Antonio, Texas. Having grown up during the Great Depression, Julian believed that even in difficult times families would still find ways to celebrate important milestones. He opened the first Amols’ store on North St. Mary’s Street, and the small shop quickly grew, relocating several times before settling on South Flores Street for more than 50 years.
As the business expanded, Amols’ launched an online store to serve customers beyond San Antonio. In 2018, the company moved to a larger location at Fredericksburg Road and Culebra Road in the Five Points neighborhood. Today, more than 70 years after it was founded, Amols’ remains a family-owned business operated by the third generation.
Strengthening Amols’ Online Operations

Before implementing the integration, managing product updates, pricing changes, and online orders required significant manual effort and introduced the risk of inventory discrepancies between systems. RDi was engaged to improve online inventory accuracy and automate the flow of data between RMH and BigCommerce.
With IceSync in place, product creation, price updates, inventory quantities, customer data, and order fulfillment now synchronize automatically between the POS and ecommerce platform. This automation eliminated manual order entry and significantly improved operational efficiency.The impact was immediate. Amols’ achieved an 82% reduction in overselling and now saves approximately 17 hours per week by removing manual order entry and reconciliation tasks. What problems was RDi tasked with solving?
Amols’ needed a reliable way to keep inventory, pricing, and orders aligned between their Retail Management Hero POS system and their BigCommerce website. Without integration, staff had to manually update inventory and enter online orders into the POS system, creating inefficiencies and increasing the risk of overselling.
RDi solved this by implementing an automated connection between the systems, ensuring that product data and orders move in real time between the POS and ecommerce platform.
RDI was able to quickly and seamlessly integrate data and orders between RMH and BigCommerce. It has been about 9 months since we launched, and we haven’t had one instance where the uploading of inventory levels and new products or the downloading of orders encountered an error or bug. We have closely monitored the data to ensure that it is properly integrated between the systems and it has always been 100% accurate.

The biggest thing is that our website and our point of sale system communicate. Inventory is accurate in both systems and all sales are automatically populated into RMH.
